Travis Hennessy

Travis is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts (PG Dip Voice) and has a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Theatre (UTAS). He is the recipient of two Tasmanian Theatre Awards for Acting (Outstanding Supporting Actor -Killer Joe, 2018; Outstanding Lead Actor - 1984, 2019).

Travis works as a freelance professional Actor, Director, Musician, Composer, Vocal Director, Voice Coach, Tutor and Arts Educator in Tasmania. Travis is one of the core creatives for Launceston College’s major musical Grease. Previous stage credits include: Happy Me (Tasmania Performs 2008), Rent (Launceston Musical Society, 2009) Les Miserables (Encore Theatre, 2010), The Pillowman (CentrStage 2010), The Last Five Years (CentrStage 2011), When The Rain Stops Falling (CentrStage, 2012), Savages (Junction Arts Festival 2014), The Possum (Mudlark Theatre, 2015), 12 Angry Men (Three River Theatre, 2016), I am a Lake (Mudlark Theatre, 2016), Wicked (Encore Theatre, 2017), Killer Joe (Three River Theatre/IO, 2018), 1984 (Launceston Players, 2019), It Happened One Day (Mudlark Theatre, 2019), Caravan Boat Treehouse (Mudlark Theatre 2021), One Day (Mudlark Theatre 2021).
